Happy Birthday to Me!

Today was a great day. I got a call this afternoon from IU RecSports, with a job offer! I accepted and am so excited to have finally got a job. I know that I was lucky in receiving as many offers as I had, but I am happy that I declined those and was able to land this one. The commute is less than 10 minutes, and the best part is that Dylan and I can go in together since his school schedule is very similar to my work schedule. This will make having one car much easier!

Dylan and I went out in the afternoon, and he bought me my present. A Kitten!!! We had been thinking of getting a kitten for a while, but wanted to wait until the time was right. We went to the shelter together this afternoon and I picked out this little gray cutie. We still haven't named him yet, as we're trying to figure out his personality beforehand.

Dylan cooked dinner for me tonight. He made the first meal he ever made for me: breaded chicken and tortellini with pesto. Yum.

Cancer

My sister has cancer.

Those words hit you as hard as a brick in the face. She's torn to pieces. We're all worried about her.

That's how it all starts.

Doctors seem to think that with surgery, the cancer can be easily removed, and then with proper treatment, will be in remission and preventible in the future. She will go to the doctors again next week to decide where to go next.
